Radical cut(out)s by FACE A FACE
For this new collection the FACE A FACE design team, led by artistic director Pascal Jaulent, explores the Art of Deconstruction to reinvent shift and slice though the frames … to give completely new shapes and breath life into this high-flying eyewear!
Sharp angles clean cut striking edges: a raw aesthetic leaves its mark and is expressed through a controlled sharp strokes. These brightly coloured eye pieces dare to imagine brand new shapes that make the deconstructed work visible and spectacular.
SPLIT
Let the light and colour in!
SPLIT lenses have apparently been sliced away at the end piece in an assertive gesture: a radically chic and daring cut for these acetate sunglasses made in Italy. Welcome to a mischievous optical illusion: outlines are flipped, colours collide, substance and void are tightly balanced.
A square and a panto reveal their originality in a new spectrum ranging from milky blue against blue granita temples with quartz flashes to crystal peach sliced through with electric yellow. Bring on the light and colour!
BOCCA PALMA
Fragrance of holidays
Abundant sensuality and the feel of a glorious summer holiday for these brand new sunglasses in the iconic BOCCA range! Warm and enveloping the BOCCA PALMAs are inspired by the architecture of 1950s Florida and seem to come straight out of a film shot along Miami’s famous beach front
The art deco spirit plays right alongside the floral motifs to geometrically emulate nature: the frames edge emerges like a bud, whilst the eyeglass itself opens up like a palm tree branch.
A large panto and a softened square with a vintage spirit are expressed in colours that evoke an era of sophisticated cocktails. A transparent palm green flirts with a fluorescent pink and a deep lagoon green. A pearly grey-blue explodes in a resonating vibrant orange and fluorescent pink. La dolce vita and elegance incarnate!
SHIFT
Elegant and unpredictable
Innovative and audacious: inspired by raw acetate sheets bonded together during manufacture, this frame surprises with unexpectedly offset frame edge. A coloured geometric block rises from the side to create the SHIFT!
A 5-piece hinge, unbeatable sculpture and finish: these stylish glasses are honed by French craftsmanship. Heightened burnishing gives them a post-industrial aesthetic nuanced by the wicked smoothness of the curves.
The vibrant colour range is available in a cat's eye panto and a feline rectangle. Striated amber merges with electric blue to enhance the visual play of the stripes, while a futuristic iridescent jade partners neon pink and opalescent nude. Phenomenal glasses, bold and subtle!
ARMAN
Arty touch, power and generosity
A clean, horizontal cut marks this decidedly masculine design. Evoking Arman, the artist, and his work on accumulation, the model plays with a mix of materials seemingly sliced by a knife and reassembled all the better to reinvent themselves. The horizontal line is highlighted by a coloured section that extends into the thick temples emphasising the richness of the material used.
Power and generosity are combined in an XXL rectangle and square shape: unstructured mosaic grey is highlighted by opaque petrol blue, while smoke grey tortoiseshell is enlivened with a tangerine flash. Bright colours and natural materials in an explosive design!
